Biography
- CrossFit Huntington Owner
- CrossFit Level 1 Trainer
Cody first joined CFH as a member in 2016 as a way to stay active after high school sports. In the beginning, CrossFit appealed to him because of its structured workouts and access to coaches to help with whatever one needed. It was a better alternative to aimlessly wandering around the typical weight room that he had tried, but failed, to stay consistent with in the past. That appeal continually grew until Cody and his wife, Jordan, had the opportunity to purchase CFH in 2018.
As the owners, they have the ability to take their love for CrossFit, its ability to change people’s lives, and the amazingly supportive community and share that with the tristate area. Cody’s background is in finance and business management, so being able to run such an impactful business gives him a great deal of satisfaction. He can often be found working on a new project for CFH or working out alongside his wife in a class.
Cody believes that CrossFit is a great tool that more people need to utilize in their lives to help them move a little better, establish and accomplish their physical goals, and ultimately live a better life. He’s a fan of everything CrossFit has to offer, but longer workouts with lighter weights are his favorite. He loves to coach people to simply be better versions of themselves. People come in all different shapes and sizes, and helping them improve themselves, whatever that looks like, is a passion of his. To Cody, it’s not about being the best, but it is about always trying to improve by making weaknesses not so weak and strengths a little stronger, whatever those may be.
